Please give me your thoughts on this, good and bad.  if you've used it, even better, I'd like to hear how you liked it.  TIA!

I'm not familiar with the brand, but they have no useful information in the description.  That immediately has me concerned.

It is a brand called ant shack in the UK if I'm not mistaken. They do have some good reviews and ok products, but it really depends on the species.

I like it because you can block the light out, it has a port for an outworld, and it's horizontal/flat, so I can use my microscope to get good photos of the ants and brood.  I think i might try it.

Ignore the creator, but I've got one of these that I'm planning on putting to use.

I don't know how well it holds up, but I've seen some people give it positive comments here.

Stick with more reliable creators such as wakooshi, aus ants, and tarheelants. This company tends to make mistakes with their 3d printing and acrylic cutting.

Yeah, THA has the Labyrinth (https://tarheelants....ducts/labyrinth) that gets you the same laying flat effect.  It wouldn't be hard to make a cover for it.

Although of course the labyrinth is much more expensive you can still get things such as a fallen fortress or an aus ants medium nest. wakooshi also 3d prints and they don't make mistakes with them, of course if they did or if it was because of shipping i'm sure they would offer some type of refund or replacement.

I've decided to go with the hybrid nest and the AC outworld.  I'll post photos after it arrives.  Thanks for the feedback everyone, espeically from kitsantva. that comment about the errors really pushed me over the edge.

I really don't like supporting Air Conditioner, but his products are pretty good.

It looks kind of small, and not worth the price. I agree that Air conditioner has some good products, namely the hybrid nest. But only their 2.0 versions. The 3-D printed version was just absolute trash in my opinion. The water leaked everywhere, and when I tried contacting them, they did not do anything.

umm, their outworld are way overpriced in most of this forums opinion. they do work, but maybe you could try to make your own? the hybrid nests are good if you are interested in videoing/ looking at ants under the microscope, but the outworlds, yikes. again, maybe try making your own. you could try live plants, or something different. i get if you are not the hands on kind of person, though.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8

The AC Outworld 2.0 is awful. The plastic is very opaque, so observation is crap. Some people have had Camponotus chew right on out of the ventilation holes.
The 1.0 Outworlds are money, though.

When I first got into ant keeping, I like many other people, bought a hybrid nest starter kit from ants canada. Unfortunately, I had ordered it when the outworld 2.0 cam out, so I got the 2.0 instead of the 1.0.
