Hey there all of you fellow ant keepers in California and Nevada!

I am in need of getting some fresh samples: workers, queens etc of Tapinoma schreiberi(Hamm).  I need some for my research.   Here is a link on AntWiki.  From the link you will be able to look at the interactive distribution map.  Perhaps you live near where samples were taken and have been documented.  Perhaps you already have found this ant.  If you could find some let me know and I will reach out to privately to arrange how you may sample and get those samples to me.  Thanks in advance!

I appreciate the follow ups.  AS for the Bay Area, I have seen a male Tapinoma by Dr. Ward collected on the Golden Gate Bridge area north side of San Fran that has most likely been misidentified as T. sessile which is in fact T. schreiberi, upshot, I believe it is also in the Bay Area.

that would be wonderful

if you find any place them try to get not only workers but queens too.  also, I will need GPS coordinates and elevation data.  If you get any let me know immediately so I can let you know how to prepare them to get then shipped to me.  thanks!

queens would probably be hard unless he actually digs them up. and then again, who knows... maybe he can dig up some drones and alates.

Only argentines and brachys in my area, and add a lot of rain for my area, and yeah. I don't think you can rely on me. But, you can have your hopes up for Stricky.
