the only problem about this sub though, is scams. At least in formiculture we have locations, but i don't know what might happen in reddit. 


Ants I am keeping:

 none for now, planning on being more active this year

This seems like a great idea. I think there should be some good moderation to prevent illegal trades and especially scams though. However don’t go all out on moderation like some other places *cough* AAK *cough*

Every good child knows how to fake their age. It's simple math, just figure out the birth year of an 18 year old. (In this case, 13 year old).

the only thing that bugs me about reddit is that I am a mantis keeper, i have an exotic ghost mantis. It was fully legal because i bought him inside california. The only thing is that on the mantids sub-reddit, many people sell and trade mantids but don't even know of have a permit. i should do a reminder or something.

Why would buying a ghost mantis from out of state be illegal? I've ordered so many mantis species from bugsinycberspace who's in Oregon. Has that been illegal all this time?

ummm. yeah... oof its because they're an exotic species and you would need a permit to cross state lines. Its just that most people don't care or are in the same state. also, the people don't really inforce the law lol
