My Veros have trapped themselves in the dried out water reservoir end of the test tube. Not sure what I should do. I have created a grout formicarium for them from polyblend sanded grout. First things first: Is there any problems with it? Will they survive in it? Is it too big for them? Assuming it is safe for them, how do I safely move them into it and save the trapped ants.

I think that's what the post is about lol. The workers being trapped in the dried up water section, so basically trapped on the wrong side of the cotton.

Dump out all the workers you can. Then use tweezers to pull out the cotton and dump the rest.

A quick search for if it is toxic said it can cause irritation for people so I'm not sure about ants. I'm guessing they would be fine, though.

You can put a lot more water in your tubes, they won't dry out so quickly. Try at least 1/3 full next time you fill one up.

Not really worried about it being toxic. Just wonder if you think it'll work.

I do put more. They rip the cotton off as the water level drops.

Well, I connected their tubs and tubes to it. Hopefully it works.
