This queen was caught in a log piece.
She is 1.2 cm after feeding.Before feeding it could be 1 cm.Caught in india.

Looks like polyrachis. That is one funky test tube.

Any way this polyrachis queen doesnt have the normal spikes from her thorax which can be seen in normal polyrachis.Her spikes are tiny.

its definitely not lamillidens. They are from japan and have a very different look to them, as they are social parasites.

You made no attempt to say you know it was already Polyrhachis before he guessed, so we wouldn't know you knew that already.

There are over 50 polyrhachis species in india, so it is likely you won't get a difinitive ID.

Once you get your first worker it will mak3 it easier to ID it and I will look through all of any wiki to help. I just want this case closed.

much to blurry pics, unfortunately. maybe get a macro lens.

Even if the guy got focus stacked perfectly lit point pictures from every possible angle, it isn't a matter of picture quality but of whos willing to dig through all the literature. These pictures are fine, but other information is needed and it's very tiresome going through antwiki specimen images/keys/species descriptions.
