Interesting material, but rather expensive when compared with plaster. Have any of you guys ever tried using Hydro-Stone? I've heard of other people use this and i'd like to know what makes it different from regular plaster.

I only use this plaster because i trust it and has never harmed a single colony i've kept in the nests made from this plaster. I also know a good amount of ant keepers who use this plaster. Hydro stone is good from what i here but i've never used it.

Added S. Molesta and Suspected Temnothorax queens

Based off the id request it looks like its Pheidole. Also it is most likely an infertile queen if you caught it blacklighting and it has wings so you should probably wait to make sure it at least lays eggs that develop.

Xyloni queens have tons of larvae and pupae. $30 a queen now. Once they get workers it’ll be $35. Grab them while you can.
