I found this queen in Pleasanton california. People have claimed that it is argentine ants and dorymyrmex insanus.
I will post images please give me some time. Here are some images.

I thought argentines were smaller. Their workers are definitely bigger than my solenopsis molesta colony's workers.

Yeah linepithema humile. These guys are supercolonial so you can add any worker or queen of this species to the colony to make it bigger.

but the are an invasive and very destructive species they have practically taken over Australia, and have taken over the world but unlike pavement ants they have not found their place in an environment other than some places in South America where they are native.

Uh not sure where you're getting this info. Yes they are omnipresent and widespread but no they have not taken over australia or the world.

I think he got that Argentine Ants own Australia because of Aus Ants video lol.

Yes, there are a lot of argentine ants there, but its like America, your still able to find Native species in Australia of course.

..WE JUST SAID THAT. We are talking about Australia and how they don't have the entire world... They are barely present in the Northeren Hemisphere, and most of Asia. (Credit: antmaps.org). We never said they were not widespread.

Guys, can we please not start a flame war and trash this thread because the OP asked for an ID and decided to keep argentines? They are not illegal like invicta to my knowledge.

Ha ha, no ones against keeping L. humile here, or at least they havent spoken up.. Just debating whether or not argentines are a world dominant species.
