3. Habitat of collection: Red clay/driveway
4. Length (from head to gaster): Approximately 8-9 mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Black gaster, red thorax and head
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Long, slender body
7. Distinguishing behavior: N/A
8. Nest description: N/A

9. Nuptial flight time and date: 7-8 p.m.

Camponotus species. Not sure which one.

Camponotus caryae, Camponotus decipiens or Camponotus nearcticus.

Looks like either C. decipiens or discolor.
