I finally was able to join into this amazing group and I am excited to read and socialize with others about our common interests (ants).

I currently own:

 

Camponotus vicinus

Pheidole xerophila

 

I hope for me to be able raise more native ant species as I gain more experience and knowledge throughout my time here.  :lol:

that's great to see another ant keeper join! Do any of your colony’s have workers and just a quick tip make sure to feed your pheidole at least once a day or every other day so they can get thousands in just a couple months.

that's great to see another ant keeper join! Do any of your colony’s have workers and just a quick tip make sure to feed your pheidole at least once a day or every other day so they can get thousands in just a couple months.

My vicinus has about 9 workers with more to come and my pheidole has about 20 workers now. Thanks for the tip, I'll make sure to feed the pheidole more often. I'll probably make journals about them soon (y)

That's way larger than any Pheidole xerophila colony I have ever had.

Really? Wow, I don't know what I did to them to become this successful :thinking:By the way, I am a real fan of your journals and videos. I read and watch them 24/7.

How do you guys make your logos? Or what I mean is your profile pictures what app?

For mine, I used a mobile app called "PicsArt". It's a program where you use a picture to make your own logo. I used a picture of an acromyrmex versicolor for mine to make my logo because they are probably one of my dream species to keep here in Southern California :) :)
