So I've seen how many people use grout in their outworlds and then put sand on it as well as fake plants, rocks, etc. and then let it dry and there's your outworld.

My question with this is, how do you clean it if re-using for a new colony?

Do you just kind of vacuum the garbage out and all done?

Do you wash it with water? And if so, do you lose a bunch of the sand in the grout?  Or maybe just soak it and let it dry?

Or is it better to just put a thin layer of loose sand in the outworld?

Currently keeping Tetramorium Immigrans and Camponotus Pennsylvanicus in THA mini hearths.  I also have a couple Prenolepis Imparus queens in test tubes.

I haven't had to truly wash anything yet, but I use tweezers for the big stuff and a damp qtip for the little bits.
