Friend caught this queen in their back yard. Looks a bit like tetramorium, but it’s longer with a skinnier waist. Temnothorax sp. maybe?

Date of collection: 7-23

Size: 8 mm

Color: reddish brown

Characteristics: skinny waist, wide wing muscles and a big head

Habitat: grassy yard

Time caught: lunchtime

Good to know. A bit off topic but my own tetra queen has nanitics now, after waiting for close to 2 months
