You could use some hot glue or aquarium silicone. Or you could wrap the lip of the tube in rubber bands or something. I believe dspdrew printed some test tube to hole adaptors at some point.

Mounting putty works great for sealing up small gaps. Ants cannot chew through it. I use the 3M brand available at Target and many other stores.
