1. Location (on a map) of collection: Jacksonville, FL
2. Date of collection: sometime in late April or early May
3. Habitat of collection: urban; collected from sidewalk
4. Length (from head to gaster): 9mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: golden brownish with striped appearance to darker color gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: 1 pointy petiole that does not extend above the gaster
7. Distinguishing behavior: several eggs and what appear to be naked larvae as of June 19
8. Nest description: N/A

9. Nuptial flight time and date: N/A

Forelius sp.


Ants I have: Tapinoma sessile(2 queen colony). RED MORPH Camponotus neacticus(now has pupae!), Tetramorium immigrans (x3), Aphaenogaster sp, Temnothorax sp, Brachymyrmex sp.   possibly infertile   :(,  Ponera pennsylvanica, and Pheidole morrisi!  :yahoo: 

 

Other insects: Polistes sp. Queen

                    

Ants I need: Pheidole sp., Trachymyrmex sp., Crematogaster cerasi , Dorymyrmex sp. Most wanted: Pheidole morrisii

This is Dorymyrmex bureni. The queens of these have a larger and rounder head than the local Forelius.
