I have one up and coming tetramorium immigrans colony after stepping away from the hobby for about a year or two and was wondering if a type I casita would contain them eating away at it.

If this casita won't work I'll probably get a type III fortress, but I don't have much money at the moment, so it'll be a while.

I asked about Type I recently and everyone basically said it was a bad idea for Tetras....

Yeah, get Type III to be safe. I have known that Tetras love to eat through Type I stuff.

Yeah, they’ll chew between the glass and formicarium and make a gap. The THA outworlds are too small for explosively growing species.

Type III is a super hard material ants can’t chew. Not even my Crematogaster can get through it.

No, that stuff is super hard, too. No way they could chew through it.

Tetramorium caespitum is not present in the United States. You’re thinking of Tetramorium immigrans.
