They are. Really easy (at least for me), and also get rather huge colonies. But despite their colony size they can get, they are easy to maintain compared to Solenopsis.They are decent climbers though, not the best but a lot better than Pogonomyrmex tends to be.
 
My favorite part of Veromessor andrei though is their huge trails. They look like army ants, but instead of raiding colonies they are raiding mostly for seeds (and random insects that are dumb enough to go in middle of their trails lol).


Yup, don’t mess with the Veros when they be gathering their seeds.

Pognomyrmex subnitidus are in some cases polygynous.
