found under a log. about 6-7mm in length. in Colorado.

Looks like some sort of Reticulitermes, but the given dimensions sound a bit too big for that genus. Did you get any pictures of workers?

Looks like Reticulitermes to me, but yeah a rather larger specimen/species.

Quite late answer, but i'd say Reticulitermes tibialis. to be sure you should photograph the underside of the soldier's head to show the postmentum width. In which environments you found them?
