Last week I obtained an Aphaenogaster occidentalis colony from jeffpbalderston. They currently have 5 workers, 1 queen, and a pile of eggs. Housed in a very small dirt setup.

(x1) Campontous semitstaceus ~20 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Camponotus vicinus ~10 workers, 1 Queen (all black variety)
(x1) Tetramorium immigrans ~100 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Myrmercocystus mexicanus -1 Queen
(x2) Mymercocystus mimcus -1 Queen
(x1) Mymercocystus testaceus ~45 workers, 1 Queen

6 workers now and i moved them into dspdrews small starter formicarium. They have a pupae that will eclose in a day or two.

This colony has 3 workers now. I'm hoping they can get some more because the current workers are going to die soon.

The queen refuses to lay eggs. The workers have died by now. The queen has anything she could ever need and she just won't. About every 2 weeks or so, I will put a drop of honey and a tiny piece of cricket in the test tube.
