Some eggs have hatched into small larvae. They haven’t been foraging much, but some of the workers are extremely fat. The cricket is completely gone and they decapitated the worker that recently passed away.

Just got back from my lake house and these girls are unfortunately down to three workers but they have some middle sized larvae.

I’m sure they’ll bounce back! Do you up have any idea what might have caused the decline?

I was gone for ten days and couldn’t hydrate them, and they ran out of sugar water I believe. The larvae sure look full of it though...

Only one of the larvae is a pupa now. I assume they had to feed the other one to it. It is also a naked pupa, which surprised me. I thought these made cocoons.
