Hellooo, this journal will be a break off of my original journal https://www.formicul...eeping-journal/but since then they have exploded in numbers they have tons of brood and can take a superworm piece every few days 20220712_131151~2.jpg For some reason they put the majority of their brood in thr connection port of the Mini Hearth 20220712_131405.jpg I also gave them I ear wig piece, which they have chosen to hold from the ceiling 20220712_131129.jpg

Half an inch is huge! Are you sure you are measuring in inches?

Quite a bit has since last update. I gave them acces to dirt in the form of an old AC tower, and they decided to move the whole nest in there. I'm currently working on an outworld for them. They didn't make tunnels on the side, but I'll put a heating cable on it, so that hopefully they dig next to it, I'll upload pics then

Well they didn't too well in the AC tower, and lost about half of their population, so I made a formicarium for them, it was actually my first attempt at making one and I'd say it came out pretty good, I used hydrostone and before it dried, sprinkled some sand 20220814_183307.jpg
The queen and most the colony decided to live in one of the very narrow chamber, but they'll probably move onto different places over time 20220815_201636~2.jpg

Update? Also your queen looks like she is in need of protein.
