So today(May 21st) I introduced 3 Lasius works to my Lasius aphidicola queen. I connected the 2 tubes with some tube. They are just walking around a little. These are the first ants I introduced. I have more in the likely case that the first 3 die. They have a little honey.

How can I tell if the queen accepted them?  I think that she will probably kill these 3 but for the next ants that I introduce what should I do?

Also what can I easily fead them other than honey. Preferably something solid and easy to break done for 1 ant.

1) no ants killing each other
2) grooming the queen
3) workers feeding the queen

Most ants can’t eat solid foods. They drink liquid sugars or juices out of insects.

Ok thanks, I will look out for those three things.

Also will a tiny bit of fruit work for a single ant? Like maybe a mini piece of apple?

I have VERY rarely seen workers grooming the queen, sometimes I don't even see them feeding her. The biggest sign is when they are able to touch antennae/live together without fighting. You have to make sure that she's accepted, not tolerated (although tolerated is a step in the right direction).

Is it bad if the queen is sitting in the connecting tube and the 3 ants are on the cotton next to the water? That is the only source of water.

It looks as though the 3 ants are scaring the queen away from the them.

Also, since they are all kinda in the same test tube should I disconnect the other test tube where the 3 ants were(The test tube on the right in the picture)? There are no ants in there.

Mine have actually got the point of grooming the queen, and surrounding her. This was going on for almost a week, until they randomly decided to start attacking her again, after almost a month of no violence.

You have a lot of host workers. I only have 3, since the others died. I might try to get more.

I will look out for grooming behavior.

One of the ant is biting the queen's leg
