Removed this post and link due to unreliability of their website and ethics of capture/imports

I have seen the website before, I found little to no reviews on there from what I recall. But I did some digging and found some reviewers online for their formicaria and a few of their insect cultures, but not that many. They were fairly positive but that’s just on their formicaria, I myself have not bought any of their stuff but I just wanted to say what I found. I could not find any reviews on their ants though, which was odd, as a lot of the ants have ‘sold out’ on their website. So it seemed those were popular ant products, but no reviews, no ant Youtubers taking a look at them. It seems strange though, most of their ants on the site being ‘sold out’ even beginner species had zero reviews. I may be missing something, but I just wanted to put my input.

Edit: I just noticed your in Connecticut, so you cannot import ants because it would be illegal without a permit since the U.S. takes importing non-native queen ants very seriously.

You will not be issued a permit to import ants from outside the US.  If they are shipping ants to the US from abroad, they are probably not declaring them properly and are violating all kinds of laws.

I suggest you edit your post to remove any reference to websites that allegedly engage in illegal conduct.

Apparently if they are shipped in, you’re going to have a whole government inspection team waiting for them to check them over. They take this very seriously.

Sorry I had no idea they did that. Big fan of your liquid feeders by the way :)

I also love the liquid feeders of byformica. They have really helped me keep my formicariums clean! :)

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8

Looks like they are based in the UK/Europe where its legal there. At least judging by their site, it seems they are UK/europe based. Its only illegal if they ship to the US and Australia (and any other country where its illegal to transport ants). However the vast majority of the world its legal to import/export ants, so the site/store itself is fine seeing they aren't located in the US. Unless they still send ants to illegal areas, but there isn't any info on that. Though there isn't anything about it or reviews or feedback or anything. So if I was in the UK I wouldn't use them without any knowledge of how they are or even who they are.
