YOU HAVE CYPHOMYRMEX!!!

Apparently, I found out a few weeks ago. I found some in my front yard. At first I only had very poor images but people still said cyphos. Here's proof.

Apparently Arizona is the best state for ants, yeah? Get ready for this unbeatable species list:

1: Brachymyrmex patagonicus
2: Dorymyrmex insanus

Read it and weep, nerds.

Seriously though, living in a city sucks. Definitely getting the heck outta here ASAP. One nice thing about the Phoenix area is that it's in the dead center of the state, so most of the actually good anting spots are only a day trip away.

I haven't posted here yet so I'm just gonna say how diverse my yard is: Formica subsericea, Camponotus pennsylvanicus, Poneras sp. Nyanderia parvula, tetramorium immigrans, Solenopsis molesta, Prenolepis imparis, Camponotus nearcticus, and Monomorium minimum.

Camponotus pennsylvanicus in my house, Tetramorium immigrans on the sidewalk.  My backyard unfortunately is devoid of any ants.  Mostly just worms, centipedes, and millipedes.  How Manito has that many questions me.  At least you have two species that actually LIVE in your backyard Cheeto, I'm not even sure if Camponotus counts since its in my house and I'd like to ignore the masses of invasives terrorizing my streets, thought I have found Brachymyrmex at the house across the street (don't tell the neighbours)
