As some of you may know, we South Dakotans have formed the Society of Dakotan Ant Keepers (SoDAK), and I have big plans for expansion throughout our community these next few years. How about you guys? Any suggestions? We can help each other's communities grow.

Presumably. This type of community is what I wish to strive for.  :)

Well, I occasionally post on Southern California Anting. I have talked to friends about keeping ants. Most are interested, but some have parents who would never let them keep ants. And the people who don't know me well who I tell, head me off mid sentence and start saying I'm weird. And I don't even get time to finish my spiel, and then I just give up on that person, and generally don't mention it to anybody for a few months. I did however, get to talk about it on a zoom meeting for robotics, as I had a 3d printed formicarium, so I showed them a picture of that, and I also talked about what myrmecology is, and the teacher thought it was very interesting. IDK abut the other students though.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

I guess talking about ants is a good way to encourage social distancing unless of course you are in one of those idiot states actually protesting it.

In Ohio, parks are open, so I don't know about you, but I will be taking many ant trips (while staying away from people of course).
