The value of that purchase isn't very good, if you ask me. Plastic test tubes are often harder to see through, and scratch easily. I use them for collection but never more than as temporary homes. I know that Drew and Greg have a good source for glass test tubes.
Also, I don't think these would work for Camponotus.

No. Hopefully one of them sees this and gives the source. I have plenty of test tubes that I get from the University of Idaho & Oregon State University, so I don't know of other good quality and valued sources.

I prefer glass tubes to plastic or acrylic ones. I get mine from a local science lab - 150mm x 18mm.
Otherwise, here is a link for other alternatives to test tubes: http://www.formicult...ounding-queens/

Thank You so much crystals. If that's the size you have then I will get the same size.
Those look like a good deal if you can get them cheaply, and are a good size.

The 16mm wide also work well.
Both sizes occasionally go on good sales at various supply stores, or online locations.

If you ain't got a dream, you ain't got nothing.
Looks good! I'd go for the 18 mm option.

Why..? The above deal would have been much better! If there is time, I'd definitely cancel your order and order from the link above.
I honestly prefer screw cap glass tubes over standard tubes.
Screw cap tubes have thicker walls and are more durable, and glass is always preferable over plastic.
Thanks antteen for showing that link, I was about to but you beat me to it.
Yeah that is where me and drew and some others get our test tubes from.
I got mine from Amazon too, but I wanted pyrex tubes so I knew I'd be paying more.
Cool!
Now you are all set.
Best of luck!
