So social media reminded me that today is exactly one year since I went on my first (and currently last) ant hunting trip. We went all the way to Joshua Tree, took my son with me and we had a great time.

Was actually only able to catch some Acromyrmex Versicolor queens but that wasn't bad in my opinion.

Really loved those queens, they were awesome. Won't lie I still want to try and keep them again one day. Well either way woo been an entire year wow.

Congrats! Hope you get back into ant keeping, it's always nice to see a fresh face

There is a important time for everything, important place for everyone, an important person for everybody, and an important ant for each and every ant keeper and myrmecologist alike

I will very soon. Probably gonna be a Camponotus queen from Drew. Try a species a little tougher and easier than a leaf cutter lol
