Definitely a Crematogaster sp.. It’s either C. cerasi or C. lineolata. No real way to tell without closer pictures. (Congrats though, good find :D!)

Is there much of a behavioral difference or difference in food preference. I'm kinda new to this and just want to make sure i'm doing what's best for the specific ants.

Nope, they are basicically the same in terms of behavior and care. They’ll eat just about anything from what I’ve heard, and I’m sure you’ll do a fine job caring for them :) (just a warning though, these species do grow at fast rates, so something to think about for the future)!

Ok Thank you! Just for reference how fast do they grow? Like 4 months from first egg how big would the colony be?

They might have in the hundreds by that time, or maybe close to it. There are some journals on this forum that document the growth of Crematogaster colonies, I recommend going to check some out to get an idea of the sheer amount of brood and they can get. The member “Feed The Ants” has recently updated his journal with pictures, although his colony is definitely older than 4 months!
