Found this ant on my driveway, the driveway itself has a sand and dirt mixture on either sides of it before the grass. She was found today, moving quite rapidly and even inside the test tube she took a long while to start to settle down. It was very difficult to get an accurate measurement, but she is approximately 7 mm in length, give or take 1 mm. Her head and gaster appear to be the same dark color (near black), while her thorax, waist, and mandibles appear to be a lighter orange/brown color. The pictures I was able to obtain aren't the best and I may attempt to take a few more later, if she is more calmed down.
