I think you might be talking about P. floyderus. P. kiwicus looks like this:

Doctor VoidElecent might have some information on that species. They are elusive though.

Monserate Mountain Preserve was a mission fail. Went there at 3 pm on a hot 96 degree weather. I just have to pray for a huge rainstorm to change my luck.

The camponotus ants are loving the fruit flies I ordered. The queen also came out to kill some of them.

Anza Borrego Desert State Park came out empty. I had low expectations going there, so my morale is still in tact. It will rain in 7 days, my golden opportunity is coming soon.
