Some of my test tube water reservoirs cotton doesn't recede like others. I know this is because of air bubbles in the reservoir during set up, anyone know any "Tricks" to stop these, I used to have the "knack" for it and it would work every time but lately it hasn't.

I think you have to compress the cotton so it's tight, and then only push it to just above the water level, and quickly so no air bubble forms

Current ant colonies -
1) Opisthopsis Rufithorax (strobe ant), Melophorus sp2. black and orange, Pheidole species, Pheidole antipodum
