Found one outside my house and the other down my street here in Southern California on June 7th in a suburban area. The two ants are both 4mm in size with their heads and gasters being dark brown, and their thorax being light brown in color. They move very fast and are energetic. I think they are Nylanderia Vividula but I could be wrong.
