My son found this one in our flower bed today.  He is getting better at finding queens than I am.  We think that this is a Camponotus queen.  Can we get a confirmation?  Thanks, Russ

I think you're reading your tape measure wrong. That is about 5/8 of an inch. Anyway, it looks like Camponotus vicinus to me. I tried to check up on my quick ID, but Antweb is only showing four genera for Idaho now, with no Camponotus at all. Obviously it's broken again.
