Journal dedicated to my lasius species. I have a small lasius neoniger colony, four lasius claviger and aphidicola in hibernation. These pictures have been taken from September of last year to February of this year.

Pictures are going in chronological order.

I have to be honest that I want to get a L. neoniger colony. There are absolutely huge nuptial flights in my area (triple one time from S. molesta B. depillis and L. neoniger). I once got a de-alate which was near her colony; I assuming that she was mated, but she wasn’t. Three days later, she was paralyzed, (I believe it’s due to stress, or some kind of parasite).

Keeping:

2x - S. molesta (colonies)                1x - C. nearcticus (founding)  (y) New!

1x - C. chromaiodes (colony)           1x - C. subbarbatus (founding)  (y) New!

2x - F. pallidefulva (colonies)

2x - C. cerasi (founding) Founding almost complete with pupae present! Can't wait for the workers!

1x - B. depilis (founding but no eggs)

2x - P. imparis (colony) 2x P. imparis (founding)  Unfortunately no multi queen P. imparis colonies as all of the queens died due to fungus infection (assumed). RIP  :(
