Was walking around my backyard when I notice a relatively large paper wasp chewing on some wood from my old chicken coop. I wondered if it was a queen so I followed it back to its best. Sure enough it was a lone queen just starting off her colony. I basically lightly modified a critter keeper so I hope that suites her. Removing her from outside felt especially daunting. Though it was rather simple once done. I hope for good things from this colony.9172B849-00BA-4319-89C3-33848AE5FDA3.jpeg 65EA4D6D-4EA9-4CF8-B278-349C201966E0.jpeg 77FB7427-9993-4A87-9E96-36AB8FE346E5.jpeg

Update. Nothing has changed much I added a water dish and a cup of honey plus additional wood. I’ve seen a bit of construction since she’s been in there but not as much as I would like.

Wasp keeping doesn’t really seem like a good idea to me.
"The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer." Prov. 30:25
Keep ordinary ants in extraordinary ways.

I have seen it work out quite well for some. I plan on trying my hand at it eventually.

Canceled. Released the female. She didn’t seem to settle in properly
