I got these two gals from Sub as well.  They have also started laying eggs so their journals are being started.  Currently being kept in THA founding thingies.  Being fed water and sugar water as of now since they don't have larvae.  

This is the queen with the most in her brood:

Update time.  One of the navajos died out of the blue.  I did notice a lot of scavenger mites, but I would not think those would have played a role in her death.  She had a lot of cocoons, but I did not know what I should do with them.  The other navajo was kept in the same conditions and is doing great.  She has about 7 cocoons and I spied 2 larvae.  Pictures will be posted later tonight.

I don't have my ants in dirt.  It is like a hydrostone pour with substrate put on top before it dried and I put extra substrate on there for her to move around if she wants to.

I am not.  It happened a while ago and the mites were on them a bit, so I did not want to accidentally give the other queen mites.

I got a handful of ants and I am not giving away any ants and their starting colonies.

I pulled a drew years ago, I am a changed man now, nurbs.  I have taste, I have culture, I like Dorymyrmex now.  I also am forcing myself to not procrastinate on journals again, haha.

What happens to them?

They wouldn't settle down and kept eating their eggs.  I partially blame it on the containers themselves.  They were THA's earliest designs for founding setups without test tubes; I just never got them to work for any queens I got.  Every queen I put in them died.
