update on my queens (S. Invicta) i found on 5-29-2015 (updated 6-25-2015)

checked up of them and the two in test tubes have a pile of eggs/brood by the most cotton, the others i can't see b/c the dirt (i know, i know, it was 2 late to move them 2 test tubes)

 

i moved them to a more "safe place" for them....

 

i put a little room heater ( it's unplugged all the time until it's needed) in there so i won't open/close the door.... (i leave it on for like 1 to 2 minutes)

Nice. My test tube queens (except the brachymyrmex) larva have pupated. They should grow fast in a heated room.

Nice. But there's a bit of condensation on the floor of the container and that can be hazardous to the queen/brood.

how do i clean it?? (it's a little honey i put in there for her, been in there since i found her)

Use a cotton swab.

the egg that was getting bigger has been eaten.....   anyone know why they do this??
