I am not very experienced but Lasius are a pretty good beginner genus especially lasius neoniger which i think can be found in Texas, Camponotus or carpenter ants are also quite beginner friendly however they are quite large and grow slower than lasius as a colony. I hope this helps.

its fine. We know that you're in El Paso, but since you need to say that every time you buy/sell, you can put your location in your profile. to do that, click your name in the top right corner, and customize your settings. thanks!

Sorry for any confusion, I was using my phone when I created this yesterday and I couldn't access my profile to include my location... but seems like I got the hang of it now
