I just came across a site that sells some very interesting hybrid grout/plastic formicariums. I thought they had some really good ideas, and might try to build something similar myself.

I don't know if any of you have purchased items from them, as they look pretty new.  Anyway, I thought I would share, since they look like good quality.  https://www.poramorart.ca/

I would guess that this site is pretty new because half the items are listed as new but I must say that the quality of the items looks really nice.

That looks pretty nice, I don't think I'll get any of their products though. Especially not the FormiFeeder and FormiSyrup because those seem to be direct rip-offs of ByFormica ant feeders, which I use and love.

My thoughts exactly as well. I just wanted to point out their formicarium products, which I thought looked nice.

The FormiSyrup definitely seems like a simple product anyone can make themselves, I guess it is for those who don't want to make their own?? The FormiFeeder does seem to have a different design compared to the byFormica ones specially the plate at the bottom seems to be useful, I do have spills often with the byFormica ones, I discovered them due to this YouTube video that talks about their feeders and some of their formicariums: https://youtu.be/HBkk9jzdi0c

The feeder and the syrup *looks* decent in my opinion, but I don't know if it will work out as good as ByFormica's nectar and the feeder, maybe the feeder will have a leakage, or the ants won't like the syrup. So yes true might not be as good as it's expected.

The last post looked a bit rude after I reread it, and wasn't really true in some parts, so do not take that serious(what I said before).

I'm very confident there won't be a leak in our product. You can hear from our clients on our testimonial wall. https://www.poramora...stimonial-wall

I wish I knew about this before Christmas. Would've given me a wider selection of ant supplies to get.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't had a good experience. I assure you that this is not typically the case with our formicaria. Please send us an email or use the chat box on our website so we can assist you and understand what issues you are having with our products.

Hi

Being able to see the photos perfectly allows to understand the issue;

The nano station: the issue is due to a delamination issue of the printed lines of plastic, due to filament shortages during the pandemic we had to use a different brand of filament then we would normally use. It seems you got one of the first few units produced and such used this plastic that is not as strong. Also the part has been updated since July of 2021 to have a thicker wall to be able to withstand more aggressive handling, fortunately no one else has ever reported other occurrences such as yours.

In regards to the glass, it looks as though it may have broke due to a sudden snapping of magnets.Usually glass brakes when it receives a hard impact and this can indeed happen due to the magnets pulling on each other, we recommend to slide the glass in place. This is my assumption looking at the photo but if it's incorrect I would love to discuss it further with you as this always helps us improve our products. This formicarium along with the mini honeycell does use thinner glass than our other formicariums which would result in needing a little more care when handling.

We can send you a new nano feeding station and a replacement apartment. Message us to confirm your shipping address.
