Going to be making wooden test tube racks for the AntsDakota site. What dimensions do you guys recommend?

i would say 9 inches across, with lots of test tube holes. maybe you can select the dimension of holes you want for your test tube.

i would say 9 inches across, with lots of test tube holes. maybe you can select the dimension of holes you want for your test tube.

I agree. Have it with at least 3 holes up, more is preferable.

I'm thinking 9 inches across. That's one inch longer than the one in the pic. For depth I'm going 4 inches and for height I'm going 6 inches. The only dimension I'm changing from the one in the pic is length across. I'm going to pack it with test tubes though.

Three rows tall. Actually after thinking about it, more than that may be getting somewhat unrealistic. Just three seems like a good number.

For the prototype should I alternate between 16mm and 20mm holes or do rows of 16 and rows of 20?
