How does everyone here clean their Tar Heel Ants formicaria after use to ready it for a new colony?  Is it just a matter of rinsing everything out and letting it dry?  If so, do you lose a bunch of the sand when doing this?

Currently keeping Tetramorium Immigrans and Camponotus Pennsylvanicus in THA mini hearths.  I also have a couple Prenolepis Imparus queens in test tubes.
