Hello! So a while back while I was collecting brood for my Formica rufa colony I collected some from F. rufibarbis and some from F. fusca, however many of them had alate pupae which I separated from the other pupae, then I gave all of those pupae to a Formica rufibarbis colony. Now my question is what happened to those Formica fusca alates that I gave to the rufibarbis colony? Did they fly with the rufibarbis alates or did they have their own flight and is it possible that this can create Formica hybrids?
