Most likely yes. Dude committed a double illegal, a fake permit + illegal shipping.

Oh no oh no oh no. Damm it. Would I get arrested for it getting shipped to me? I’m not talking to him anymore I guess.

Keeper of no ants currently. Recently moved out of a state. Don’t worry I’ll me back in no time with hundreds of colonies. I hope.  :*(

No way you would be arrested. People sell illegal ants all the time, what aphis does is make it harder to sell ants. I personally have no problem with shipping ants except Solenopsis and Argentine ants.

I keep: C. modoc, C. sansabeanus  :D, C. maritimus, Formica argentea, M. mexicanus  :D, Odontomachus brunneus :D, Pogonomyrmex californicus, Pogonomyrmex rugosus,

Nobody can send you permits. They have to be issued to you specifically by the USDA. And like others said, shipping into Florida is a big no no even with people holding permits because the state of Florida is very strict on anything non native and native getting shipped into their state and with good reason. Because it is a tropical climate almost any species can thrive there. Certain species of ants like solenopsis invicta, other species of insects, and reptiles like snakes lizards etc where once never in the state. Theu terrorize and kill off the native species there.

Sorry things didn’t work out. Learn to appreciate your native ants and avoid shady dealings like this in the future.

Horrific is that the 2 nanitics died and the queen is also dead.
So that ends that journal.
