Does anyone know how for example Tar Heel makes his substrate in his outworld? I have a wakooshi style outworld right now and I would like to put some type of "floor" down so drowning from water drops won't be a concern going forward.
I just don't want any loose substrate just like TH due to them burying everything.

Cheers!!

Pour some plaster or hydrostone in the bottom. Let it set a bit, then sprinkle sand on the plaster before it hardens.

Tha uses vermiculite or sand mix with grout I believe. That is super absorptive so you won't have to worry about water or formic acid.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
