It'll be pretty hot this weekend, in NorCal at least, so it would be worth checking local anting spots around then. A lot of species will fly in the morning, like Tetramorium, Veromessor, and Formica. Setting up black lights in the evening would probably work too, as there should be Solenopsis, Brachymyrmex, and Pheidole flying around. I myself have caught a couple Hypoponera queens on my black lights in front of my garage on a warm night a few weeks ago. Days that are both hot and humid would be best for ants. Good luck anting!
