Denver, Co. Found at night. Orange color and sharp mandibles! Found on a big rock. I thought it was a roach at first but after seeing the killer jaws on thought it could be a wasp... except that it doesn't seem to have a stinger.

Can you get better pictures of them?

I'm guessing this are in the suborder Symphata.  They're most likely sawflies, which are a type of wasp.

They kinda look like a wasp mixed with a roach mixed with a cricket or something.

Acantholyda posticalis looks like it. It also makes sense because they were found underneath a pine tree.
