Hello, I've been on the lookout for a vertical ytong nest ( to simulate better how a species of ants I want to catch nests, but still provide some visibilty ) separate from the outworld ( for ease of hibernation, ), for well over a month, and unfortunately I found nothing that would fit into these two categories from any of the ant shops I found: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and I unfortunately lack the skills necessary to make one myself, so I had a question, does anybody know a shop that seels such nests, or should I settle for a horizontal nest or a nest of some other material?

You could get a type 1 THA fortress.

Yeah tar heel ants has ytong nests, however if you are gonna buy from him, get a type 3 nest. They are so much better.

noted, I'll probably then first buy a mini heart and once they outgrow that move them to a type III casita, I doubt I'll need much more than that, since in the wild, the colonies of ants I'll keep rarely grow larger than 500 ants, and in captivity with no predators to only about 1000 - 2000 ants.
