A few weeks ago i flipped a rock and found both a male and a female earwig i got a small container, filled it with dirt, and moved them in. O left them alone for a few days and by then they had laid eggs, i asked TennesseeAnts via discord what to do, they told me to seperate them. and about a week later i took these pics:

Nice! I plan to breed some later this year. They need to be separated because the males will cannibalize the eggs right? Or is it a completely different reason and I am out of my mind?

Alright thanks. Does the female need to be removed once the eggs hatch?

Earwigs show a high degree of maternal care for their offspring. Definitely do not remove the females.

I just caught two pairs of these. Do they need to be fed anything while laying eggs?

Once I catch a pair, I will definitely breed them. They would be a great feeder insect for my ants, since they all since to like eating them. Plus, I think earwigs are cool. Cooler than mealworms and fruit flies anyways.
