:o Other species poop and bees  :huh: If that doesn’t get your attention, nothing will! Apologies again to those without access but this is my morning reading and the Times has a cornucopia of articles on bees that you’ll see at the end of this article

Other links found in the NYT article include a discussion on bee brain size as it relates to complexity of behavior. Following links on that page leads to an article and video of how bees “surf” to prevent drowning and the significance of “bee vomit”. Perhaps not morning coffee fare but interesting none the less!

Yes, I found this recently and thought it was pretty cool (the poop news). It reminds me of how one wasp fills her nest with dead ants to keep other bugs out.

I'll check out the NYT link. It's also been reported other places I think.

 

ETA: NYT article rocks! Has great detail compared to the other ones I read.
