T. Sessile isn't exactly a fighter, but they can confiscate any food ASAP. They starve out the other ants quickly. One workers find a popsicle.....next thing you know half the colony is at it. That's with the T. Sessile in my yard, at least. They are reaching a stalemate with the Tetramorium SpE on the other side of the road, though. I guess they can't be foraging on my pantry there.

Species I keep:

1 Lasius cf. Neoniger 30 workers

1 Camponotus sp. 15 workers

20 Tetramorium SpE 30 workers

1 T. Sessile 200 workers

Well, bad news. The gardeners planted a bunch of new plants. With that, I see Solenopsis invicta near their new plants. I also see a few other non-native species I'm not sure of, and what looks to be Pheidole megacephala.

I'm pretty sure they are Pheidole megacephala, since they look exactly like the ones I saw in Costa Mesa and they also have the same soldiers. They were locating to a different area as the gardeners flooded out the new garden they planted. I saw easily over 50+ queens in an hour of me watching them, so they must have introduced a huge colony.

There are some others too they brought like I said, but they look to have much smaller colonies. And Solenopsis invicta are everywhere in Orange County, so that isn't too surprising for them.

I thought they were supposed to spray plants they bring for pests? I guess they skimped out on doing that to save money.

Go yell at them
