Here is my new queen. Things happened in the past week. This queen seems fertile and a great caretaker while other queen happened to be a trash queen. I do have high hopes for this queens. I’m crossing my fingers.

I checked today and all the fungus in the original nest has been moved to the knew nest so yay!!! Also I think because I water their tank so much they have decided to place fungal pellets and pieces of fungus all over the outworld. I think they are trying to fill the entire tank with fungus . I’ll get pics once I move old nest out.

That is basically the whole point of doing a journal.

Ok time for info on what I keep my Acromyrmex in.

Food: dried rose petals, new life optimum fish flakes, Orange slices for sugar.

When to feed: once a week a large amount

Nest Temp: 76 F/ 24.3 C

Outworld temp:75 F/ 24.1 C

Watering: 1 cup around sides of tank and around nest. 3 times a day. About 1/3 cup before every meal I have.

Cleaning: Once every two weeks because they don’t leave to much waste but make sure to take out any dead workers.

tell me if I should list anything else.

They like fish pellets and flakes, also multiple types. You can read Drew's Acromyrmex journal for the ones he has used. Other ants like fish flakes as well, my past veromessor andrei colony loved them.
