Those hawk moth pupae are really cool looking! They remind me of something out of a manga.

So today I went anting, and came across a small marsh. Thinking it was freshwater, I scooped up some of the water, snails, and plants to take home and make a terrarium thing. I get home, research, and find that the snail is actually a brackish/marine snail (california horn snail) and that the marsh was a salt-marsh. The plants i took were also covered in baby snails, so now i have a marine terrarium with snails, little copepods (I think) and plants. pics coming soon!

I had a giant leopard caterpillar but I let her go, Because I have way to many pets.

If you find anything feel free to sell to me I'm personally on the lookout for Armadilloniscus spp, Alloniscus perconvexus, sphaeromatidae sp, and Ligia sp.

Check underneath any wood by the tideline, washed up masses of debris(smelly but very biodiverse,) and in gaps and crevices among rocks.

I dumped most of them into the 10 gallon terrarium, but kept a few in a deli cup with rotting wood to culture them. 

In my feather millipede deli cup, a super tiny mushroom sprouted. It’s white and has a super long stalk. Any ideas as to what it is?

What isopods? And I doubt we can get an ID on a mushroom like that, but you may have some trouble feeding feather millipedes. Make sure to have a plentiful source of food fungus beforehand.

I'm pretty sure the isopods are the powder blue and orange 

and i was under the impression that the feathers millipedes at rotten wood... do they not?

I've had them for 6-7 months now... they have been in a deli cup with rotten wood and eco earth. there were actually babies, like a ton of them, but they literally all disappeared

which funguses do they need?

and in my separated isopod culture, there are small red mites converging in the side of the deli cup. maybe 1-2 mm long, deep red, and spherical. are they harmful? would it be worthwhile to try and culture them as well? lol

I keep finding at a waking spot near my house isopods that look black are fats like the ones that don’t roll in a ball and have orange ish pink bands around the bottom of them right before going to their soft under bottom. Do you know which this is ponerincat?

Nope. Can't even begin to understand what they look like Send pictures if you have them.

Ill see if i can or at least find a picture on the internet I don't know if i'm going back to that spot anytime soon, its getting around 40-50 degrees now during the day over here so. leme see if i can find one that looks like it.
